Gemine Muse 2009 (english)
The object of the event GEMINE MUSE is to increase awareness of Italy’s artistic patrimony and to encourage cultural dialogue, by means of the circulation of experiences, ideas and creativity of young artists who, following a formula proven to provide results, present new works that relate to the great works of art and architecture in Italian cities. As in previous editions, new ideas also take young artists beyond the walls of museums and into contact with urban realities, thanks to diverse themes and itineraries, and through initiatives that involve all the artistic disciplines (from visual arts to music, design, theatre and dance).
| Local Gemine Muse Curator: Teresa Iannotta ““Certain works of art must be desired or searched for, sometimes even chased after, others simply must be come across, for example, when leaving the house on any given day. This may seem like an unexpected convergence, or perhaps not wished for, but in any case, it has already occurred. This is what the 2009 edition of Gemine Muse proposes for the city of Padua: to ensure the possibility of these encounters, that people may run into works of art in the most unconventional places - while they are heading to work or to the grocery store, or simply out for a walk.." |
